Termites and ants are a common pest and can affect both SIP and stick frame structures.

SIPs have an organic compound called borates integrated into the Expanded Polystyrene (EPS).  Borates are an irritant to pests and will deter them from nesting in your homes walls. 

Structural Insulated Panels are no more likely to have pests than stick frame.
